KU 2016 CALM
Together with colleagues from Food Microbiology (Dennis S. Nielsen) and Sensory Science (Mikael Bom Frøst) Q&T are to participate in an interdisciplinary project with the aim of Counteracting Age-related Loss of skeletal Muscle mass. The Q&T workpackage is related to NMR metabolomics. Three KU faculties are involved in the project which is headed by Tine Damsholt from the SAXO Institute.

Light and Food
New Advanced Technology Foundation project to Q&T (Søren Balling Engelsen) in collaboration with Århus University, DTU, FOSS and NKT. The aim is to develop a platform of analytical solutions based on new bright and broad infrared LIGHT sources and apply it to optimization of sustainable FOOD production, both in the field and in the factory.

NIRperformance.com is an online resource on near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy in the feed industry offering objective advice and know-how. It discusses the latest developments and concerns within feed production and infrared analysis. HYPER-Tools. A New Toolbox for Hyperspectral Images
HYPER-Tools is a new set of functions and utilities written in Matlab® for the analysis of Hyperspectral Images (and adaptable to any kind of image).
It is, at the same time, a platform where everybody is welcome to contribute functions and utilities focused on Hyperspectral Image analysis.

Q&T@FOOD.KU in collaboration with CIEL, DTU & CBS are proud to announce a new summer school in the area of entrepreneurship. This is a unique chance to get hands-on experience working with innovation, testing your academic skills on real challenges (cases include food ingredients, raw materials, new values in food production or equipment design) and work in cross-disciplinary teams with DTU, CBS, KU and international students using 3 weeks in August.
